German Bowling

A few months ago Brian and I went German Bowling with some friends in the small town of Niersbach. We arrived at a German Pub around midnight. There were some local Germans playing cards at a table and they appeared to have never left the bar. We walked through the bar and turned to a door that appeared to be a closet. Upon opening the door we saw a long hallway with what appeared to be a familiar sight, but it was oh so different. German bowling consists of a boche-type ball, pins on a string and a narrow lane. There is a sting with a bell at the begining of the lane that rings if you fault.

Check out that form!

Brian watching his bowl, will it be a strike?

Our friend Travis and his 5 liter Erdinger Bier mit Cola.

His first attempt drinking. We later got him a huge straw.
