As promised, here is some pictures of our trip to Zermatt, Switzerland to ski the Matterhorn. We drove into Switzerland all the way south to the Italian border. We had to park our car in a nearby town and take a train into Zermatt because Zermatt does not allow cars. Instead they use souped up electric golf carts to use as taxis and for deliveries. Very interesting. Zermatt is not like ski resorts in the states. We had to take a bus from our hotel in Zermatt to a gondola. After taking the first gondola up, you take another gondola to get to the bottom of the skiing area, so it was another 2 gondola rides to get to the top of the mountain and start skiing. So from leaving the hotel to putting your skis on was about 1 hour.
One day, there were "low" clouds in the Alps and we took this interesting picture. We were above the clouds looking into Italy and skied down into the clouds.

All of the runs were above the tree line. The trails are marked with numbers only, so we got to the top of the mountain and just kinda "looked" where we wanted to go and skied toward it.
The ski area was named after the Matterhorn which is this peak. Our favorite run took us right past it for some good pictures.
Also on our favorite run was this overlook into the valley. In the valley is Zermatt where we were staying (yes, the puppies were with us).
And here we are in front of the Matterhorn!
