Meg's Second Visit (Part 1)

Day 1:
Meg arrived in Frankfurt t 7 AM.  Brian had to work, so I made the drive in the dark and fog starting at 4:30 AM alone.  Meg and I relaxed all day while Brian worked.  I arrived into Frankfurt from a week in the states the day before so I was exhausted.  Meg, the pups and I met Brian at work after his flight.

Day 2:
We took a trip back to Studert Prum in Wehlen to pick up some more wine.  We took Meg last year when she visited and she was down to her last bottle.

Brian and I with our wine purchase.

We then drove to Bernkastle to get a bite to eat.  For more pics of Bernkastle, see "older posts".

Day 3:
We decided to take the pups on a walk and go on a Geo-Cache.

I love Germany in the fall.  The leaves on the trees are so beautiful and vibrant colors.   This is not the best example, but it is a picture of our view on our walk.

We came across these German horses.

Another natural spring.

The bubbling water.

That evening we went to Burghart and Christine's (our landlords) to learn how to make Kartoffelpuffers (potato cakes).  Our favorite!!!

Christine and I

Yum, Potato Cakes!!!

We also enjoyed a lot of "beverages".  These are some of Burghart's favorites from Bavaria.

Meg with Kirra.  Meg brought Kirra a Jolly Ball from the states.  Kirra LOVED the ball.  She played with it for hours.

On the walk home Meg found this phone booth.  Since phone booths no longer exist in the states she wanted to get a photo.

So if I come to Nevada to visit, in addition to getting to enjoy your company, of course, would I get to try some fancy German wine? The picture of you and the wine cracked me up!

Cute puffy-vest, I love it!! It looks like you and Meg are having such a fun time. Did you take any "after" pictures from the day after you hung out with your landlords? :)
