After Dachau we checked into our hotel in Munich and walked around a part of the city known as Marienplatz. Here is the new Rathaus or Town Hall.
While we were walking, we came across the Augustiner Beer Hall and decided to stop for dinner and some beer. At our table was a German from near Dusseldorf that suggested we try the "pork knuckle" for dinner. It was a ham hock I guess but a wonderful suggestion as it was very tasty. I also tried some of Laura's mushroom soup that was the best ever.
Inside was all decorated with hops as you see here. All in all it was a great choice for our first night in Munich.
